Potholes
Potholes are more than an inconvenience, having many nuisances. Potholes are a danger for people falling/tripping into them or damaging vehicles. Depending on the ground surface, there are two solutions to fixing them. All potholes are cut out and “squared-off” to give a clean, professional finish.
If there is a concrete surface to repair, the area will be cleaned out and replaced with a strong ballast cement mix to ensure integrity. If the surface is tarmac and needs to be repaired, then the pothole is cleaned out and sprayed with a tarmac contact adhesive. The new tarmac is then heated and compacted solid. To finish it off, the edges are sprayed with a bitumen sealer.
